Commercial property

When first established in 1990, Bouygues Inmobiliara was positioned as a commercial property developer and very quickly completed a number of major projects, including the Tarragona Tower in Barcelona and the Trianon and Millennium buildings in Madrid.

Bouygues Inmobiliara is now a leading player in the Spanish commercial property market, especially in Madrid and Barcelona. The company is also pioneering the introduction of business parks; a fairly new concept in Spain, but one that Bouygues Inmobiliara is helping to popularise.

Retail parks, shopping malls and leisure centres

From Barcelona to Vigo, Seville and Murcia, Bouygues Inmobilaria is hard at work building mid-size retail parks and shopping centres. The company is currently busy on a number of major projects with a total floor area of more than 130,000 sq. metres.

Bouygues Inmobilaria started work on a retail park in La Coruña in 2007 and has taken a position on a 30,000-sq.-metre retail park project in Barro, Galicia.

Homes

In 2004, Bouygues Inmobiliara diversified into the residential market. This market is growing very strongly in Spain, with over 700,000 new homes now being built every year. Bouygues Inmobiliara builds principle residences in Madrid, Barcelona and the major provincial cities of Spain, as well as second homes on the Mediterranean coast. The key to the company’s excellent results is undoubtedly the high quality of its customer service, with advisers providing new owners with support right through the process, from reservation to handover and after-sales service. “It gives us a very important competitive edge, because it’s something new in the Spanish market”, explains Oscar Cabanes, who has headed up Bouygues Inmobiliara since 2005.

2007 : further growth

In 2007, Bouygues Inmobilaria strengthened its position in Madrid:

  • with the delivery of a 5,000-sq.-metre office building as part of the Cristalia project and finalisation of the letting of 27,000 sq. metres of office space in the same development;
  • by selling 5,000 sq. metres of office space and taking a position on a 20,000-sq.-metre commercial property project;
  • with the delivery of a first residential project comprising 40 semi-detached houses.
