Commercial property

When first established in 1990, Bouygues Inmobiliaria operated as a commercial property developer and very quickly completed a number of major projects, including the Tarragona Tower in Barcelona, the Trianon and Milenium buildings in Madrid and, more recently, the 100,000-sq.-metre Cristalia Business Park.

Bouygues Inmobiliaria is now a leading player in the Spanish commercial property market, especially in Madrid and Barcelona. The company has also pioneered the introduction of business parks, a relatively new concept in Spain and one that Bouygues Inmobiliaria has helped to popularise.

It is also developing a number of hotel projects for Accor and Campanile among others.

Retail parks, shopping malls and leisure centres

From Madrid and Seville to Vigo, Bouygues Inmobiliaria develops mid-size retail parks and shopping centres.

Projects include:

  • shopping centres: El Triangle in Barcelona (28,500 sq. metres) and El Palmeral in Madrid (5,000 sq. metres),
  • retail parks: La Dehesa (9,300 sq. metres) and Parque Oeste Alcorcón (25,000 sq. metres) both in Madrid, Ciudad del Transporte in Castellon (13,300 sq. metres), Alcalá de Guadaira in Seville (32,150 sq. metres) and Oleiros retail park near La Coruña (21,000 sq. metres).

Homes

In 2004, Bouygues Inmobiliaria diversified into the residential market, building principal residences in Madrid, Barcelona and the major provincial cities and second homes on the Mediterranean coast.

Despite the crisis that began in 2007 and hit Spain particularly hard, Bouygues Inmobiliaria delivered over 330 residential properties in 2008 and 2009, with a very low withdrawal rate. While these excellent results are largely due to the quality of its programmes and customer service, Bouygues Inmobiliaria's know-how also gives the company a real edge on the market.

Since 1990, Bouygues Inmobiliaria has built a solid reputation on the Spanish market through a number of major property development projects. The company has capitalised on its expertise to diversify successfully and become one of the country's leading developers.

2009: Major deliveries despite tough conditions

In 2009, Bouygues Inmobiliaria strengthened its position in Madrid with:

  • the delivery of two office projects, a 5,000-sq.-metre building in the Julián Camarillo district and a 10,000-sq.-metre building for AMA, a Spanish insurance company, in the Campo de las Naciones district;
  • the start of work on the final phase of the Cristalia project, an 11,000-sq.-metre development for the German investment fund DEKA;
  • the delivery of a major 238-unit holiday apartment development.
