A seaside investment

bord de mer

Is it your dream to have a little hideaway by the sea? Discover some of the most attractive parts of the French coastline.

Mediterranean coast…

An idyllic setting, a special quality of life and a famously-mild climate…

the Mediterranean is a magnet for investors! After the craze for the coastal resorts of Languedoc-Roussillon and Var (Bandol, Sanary, La Croix-Valmer, les Issambres and Saint-Tropez), new favoured spots are now emerging on the Mediterranean coast.

  • La Seyne-sur-Mer is capitalising on the redevelopment of its naval dockyards.
  • Marseille has been booming ever since the redevelopment of parts of the city centre and the construction of several thousand new homes close to the Avenue de la République.
  • Long unloved, Toulon has returned to favour thanks to the renovation of its centre.
  • As for the Riviera, Cannes, Nice and Antibes are the locations dreams are made of, but it is true that the homes here are not within the reach of the majority of buyers.
  •  Those in search of a more affordable option should try Cagnes-sur-mer.

Atlantic coast…

From Brittany to the Basque country, the French Atlantic coast offers a huge range of lifestyles, but of course the ocean’s edge is the most sought-after location.

Having done the rounds of the resorts of La Baule, Carnac, Dinard, Trébeurden and Saint-Malo, all eyes are now on Finistère! This département is home to many new developments, and Brest is a real property development hotspot at the moment.
The long, quiet, unspoiled beaches of the Charente-Maritime exert a strong attraction, but waterside developments here are few and far between, since environmental conservation is the priority. However, new homes are available at Saint Rogatien and Nieul-sur-mer.

The forests of the Landes are protected, but Biscarrosse and Dax are attracting a lot of attention at the moment.

Every year, the Atlantic coast attracts a flood of holidaymakers in quest of rented accommodation. This is a great area to invest in holiday homes! Seasonal rentals also offer you the advantage of using the property yourself out of season.
