Morhad Hadji, Head of Bouygues Immobilier Services speaks about our new packages to secure your purchase.

Where did the idea for the Confort and Confort Plus packages come from?

“We have no doubts about the value and long-term marketability of the homes we develop. Nevertheless, we are aware that unexpected life events can sometimes force the sale of a property under market conditions that are less advantageous than predicted, and that this can, in turn, result in a capital loss. We therefore wanted to offer some of the best resale insurance cover available and to offer maximum cover at minimum cost”.

But isn’t this insurance already provided by banks when buyers take out a property loan?

“Property loans are protected by an insurance required by the lending institution, but that only covers the monthly repayments, and does not provide protection where a change in circumstances forces the sale of the property. Selling at a loss can make it difficult or even impossible to buy somewhere else. That’s why we wanted to offer an insurance policy that would protect buyers’ equity. Bouygues Immobilier resale insurance is designed to help people get back on their feet quickly and buy another property better suited to their needs!”.

So does Bouygues Immobilier see its role as a developer extending beyond the sale to helping its customers even after they’ve moved into their homes?

“To us that seems obvious. We already help customers from choosing their home to funding it and equipping it to their own taste. We believe that extending our involvement beyond the point of sale to cover changes imposed by circumstances is a logical extension of that commitment”.
