Personalising your new home

You have now chosen exactly the right home for you. Its size, location and features are perfect for your family

At this point, Bouygues Immobilier gives you the opportunity to personalise your new home. Choose your preferred finishes, select your options and even reinvent the rooms to suit the way you live… so that when you move in, you move in to the home of your dreams!

Finding out more about the options for personalising your new home

When you choose your new Bouygues Immobilier home, we provide you with a construction specification. This contains details of every feature, from the type of floor and wall coverings to the styles of washbasins and windows, etc. The plan of your new home shows the precise location of power sockets and telephone sockets.

A lot of these features can be changed or modified. So Bouygues Immobilier gives you the opportunity to personalise your new home*. You can choose any of the following:

  • Additional works (Solutions d’Aménagement Personnalisé or SAP in French). These affect the layout of the property in terms of partitions, plumbing and electrical fittings (e.g. enlarging a room). Any special requests you have must be made at the earliest possible stage before work begins.
  • The features included in the price of your property (you may, for example, choose your floor coverings from a range of options).
  • Chargeable options specific to each development. For example, you could upgrade to electric roller shutters from manual, or specify wall lights or downlighters.

* Depending on the progress of works and subject to compliance with building regulations

Choosing the finishes that reflect your taste

The construction specification contains specific details of the wall and floor coverings for each room.
You then have 2 options:

  • Keep the standard finish (fitted carpet, laminated flooring, etc.) and choose your favourite colours and patterns: Bouygues Immobilier offers you a huge choice at no extra cost.
  • Opt for a different kind of finish, by replacing laminate flooring with solid wood or tiles, for example. This option will involve an extra cost, for which you will receive a written quotation.

Design your own personalised touches

Perhaps you want to go even further in personalising your new home? You can do almost anything you like (subject to compliance with disabled access standards and the feasibility of your plans*):
  • Create your own totally-individual atmosphere.
  • Introduce more light by adding power sockets, switches or dimmers.
  • Focus on details and convenience by replacing standard blinds with electric blinds, or perhaps by creating a dressing room next to your bedroom
  • Redesign your rooms by opening the kitchen into the living, installing a breakfast bar, or perhaps removing a partition wall altogether to create a greater feeling of space

So how far can you go with these requests? The limits are set by building regulations, which forbid certain modifications, and by the planning permission, which must not be breached: It is not possible, for example, to make a new window opening. But in most cases, it's up to you and your budget, because most of these requests will involve extra cost.

Getting advice from Bouygues Immobilier

Bouygues Immobilier has thought of everything to help you make your decisions.
  • Many of our developments have fully-fitted showhomes that can help you visualise what your rooms will look like, and give you ideas for any modifications you may want to make.
  • We'll show you samples of the various finishes. Our Espace Client in the Paris Region presents all the features and options we offer in a single welcoming showroom facility (finishes, bathroom fittings, electrical sockets, switches, etc.). Our Bouygues Immobilier advisers are always on hand to answer all your questions and suggest combinations of options
  • Arrange a meeting with your Customer Manager to discuss any additional works. Your Customer Manager is an expert qualified to make a technical assessment of your requests and give you reliable advice If you have any doubt about the layout of rooms, traffic areas around the home or even the choice of colours, your Customer Manager is there to help.
Here's our advice…
When you sign your reservation contract, your Customer Manager will give you a copy of our Côté Intérieur interior design catalogue. You will then be able to browse at your leisure through all the modifications you could possibly make, but do make sure that you request any changes you require before we start work on your new home. Your Customer Manager is always there to help and advise you in your choices.
For example, it might not be possible to fit a bath in place of the shower, because the water supply and waste pipes have already been laid into the concrete floor.

Confirming your requests for additional works

Every request for additional works follows the same precise procedure.
  1. You request the works with the help of your Customer Manager
  2. The Customer Manager then assesses the feasibility of your plans.
  3. If the works are feasible, we then send you a quotation, accompanied by a revised plan showing the modifications to your property. If the works are unfeasible, then your Customer Manager will work with you to find a slightly different solution .
  4. You accept the quotation within 8-15 days of receipt by returning 2 signed copies to us.
  5. The Customer Manager then passes on the information and new plans to everyone involved, including the site project manager and contractors… Everything will then be done just the way you want it!

Payment is made in 2 stages…
The options you select will be paid for in 2 stages:
  •  the first half on acceptance of the quotation,
  •  the second half when we hand you the keys to your property.
